Maria Boyle - "Lichen - Exploring Colour, Texture and Mark"

Maria is an applied artist working mainly in "soft" materials of cloth, wool and thread, often using natural fibres. Colour and texture are incredibly important and are layered to create one-off tactile and organic 3D pieces for gallery, home and commissions.

Maria's talk will take you through her journey of how she created her award winning graduate collection. She will take you through her creative process from inspiration of the idea, it's development across various imagery, hues, mark and materials to the final collection with it's evocative use of colour and texture.
