Programme

Our Guild has a number of opportunities for members to get together and share ideas and expertise.

  • Main Guild Meeting:each months' main meeting takes place at Charvil Village Hall, Charvil. RG10 9TR. They vary in focus or theme and full details are shown below. The Guild Library, Trading Table and Notice Board are all available at these meetings which often have expert speakers providing presentations with accompanying slides or actual textile examples.
  • The Monday Evening Group: meets at Wokingham Methodist Church, Rose Street, Wokingham, RG40 1XS, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm on the first & third Mondays of every month (except bank holidays) for a general practical session of various crafts during which projects are explored and techniques shared.
  • The Spinning Group:meets every Wednesday fortnight from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm in Pearson Hall Pearson Road, Sonning, RG4 6UL This is an excellent way to learn how to spin as the meetings are very informal and there is plenty of opportunity for one-to-one help and guidance.
  • The Weaving Group: meets every Thursday fortnight from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm for "practical" weaving meetings in Pearson Hall, Pearson Road, Sonning, RG4 6UL There will be "discussion" meetings also.
